Morae SMED Training

The training course is designed to focus on the amount of idle time between the last good unit and the first good unit of production. The ideal student works in an organization that suffers from variable change over times or has difficult complex change overs.

Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) is the Lean methodology that provides a frame work to reduce change over time. tgg uses a state of the art video analysis software called Morae to optimize the changeover and support the SMED methodology. During this course the student will learn the following concepts:

  1. What is SMED
  2. Level Loading
  3. Internal vs External configuration
  4. Standard Work
  5. Mapping
  6. Work Breakdown Structure
  7. Use of Morae software
