Champion Lean Certification

Leaders in a Lean environment are more effective when, they know how to apply Lean concepts. The student will learn the necessary skills that are required by leaders during a Lean transformation. Students will learn to how to identify waste and gain a clear understanding of how to reduce or remove it from their transactional or manufacturing processes.

This course is designed for managers, mid-level supervisors, and employees that you want to promote to more rigorous job demands.

While daily management is central to this course, we can customize to include many soft skill topics like cultural resistance, time-management, personality & team profiles, and more.

  • Develop, use and improve Leader Standard Work
  • Practice and use Toyota Kata in conjunction with daily management
  • Meet with Lean Specialist every other week to review projects
  • Provide all resources to complete Kaizen/RCFA events (e.g. data support, team members, charter, and action items)
  • Participate in kick-off meetings, mid-week Wednesday update, and Friday report outs
  • Deselect initiatives aggressively and use strategic alignment tools like X matrices, and prioritization matrices
