Champion Lean Training

Description:

The champion lean training classes teach basic Lean concepts and Lean leadership. Leaders in a Lean environment are more effective when, they know how to apply Lean concepts. The student will learn the necessary skills that are required by leaders during a Lean transformation. Students will learn to how to identify waste and gain a clear understanding of how to reduce or remove it from their transactional or manufacturing processes.

Students will learn how to apply the following Lean leadership concepts:

  • Develop, use and Improve Leader Standard Work
  • Practice and use Toyota Kata in conjunction with daily management
  • Meet with Lean Specialist every other week to review projects
  • Provide all resources to complete Kaizen/RCFA events (e.g. data support, team members, charter, and action items)
  • Participate in kick-off meetings, mid-week Wednesday update, and Friday report outs
  • Deselect initiatives aggressively and use strategic alignment tools like X matrices, and prioritization matrices

 

Champion Lean Week 1 Training

Description:

This course is intended to provide students with the basics of Lean and how they, as managers, as can improve their methods to be leaders of improvement.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the impediment to improvements in their processes
  2. How to increase the use of visual management by their organization
  3. How to change their daily activities, and those of their team, to focus on the most important issues

Champion Lean Week 2 Training

Description:

This course is designed to make the participants aware of how they respond to different circumstances communicates a message to those around them, whether they say something or not. It also provides them with insights into interpreting how others respond and how to help move their organizations toward a more positive workplace.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand what a Group Styles Inventory (GSI) is and how to understand its benefit
  2. Most Common GSI Type
  3. Recommendations how to get the most from your organization’s current orientation
  4. How to evolve your organization into a higher performing team

Champion Lean Week 3 Training

Description:

The purpose of this week of Champion training is to provide insight into why all of the good ideas people have don’t all get translated into action and why improvements frequently revert back to the original condition. It also provides the students with methods to help overcome the resistance to change to ensure the improvements last.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify their organization’s key stakeholders
  2. Use techniques to increase support for Continuous Improvement in their work-place

Champion Lean Week 4 Training

Description:

This course is designed to assist business leaders (at all levels) understand how to simplify and measure their cost/productivity within any work environment. The tgg Lean Accounting training teaches lean concepts through an economic lens, which provides clarity and a new business perspective. The objective is to build confidence within the learner, so they can incorporate these concepts into their daily routines. Creating a culture of well-informed, decisive leaders.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Compare and contrast traditional accounting and Lean Accounting
  2. Organize accounting efforts by Value Stream
  3. Measure weekly cost at supervisor level with little outside support
