Green Belt Certification

Green Belt training involves problem solving, learning and applying statistical tools, and completion of a project. Personnel that complete the Green Belt training typically utilize 20-40% of their time improving existing processes that are within their realm of responsibility. Most of the process improvement will not require advanced statistical methods like DOE or RSM. The Six Sigma tools are contained within a five-step process known as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). Some Six Sigma tools slightly overlap with the Lean tools but, most expand considerably beyond. Define/Chartering and Control are the most common.
